Were four months post-Jack and this is Sobbing Outside a High School Graduation Rebecca.
We only have ourselves to blame, really.
They calm each other down.
She wont even talk to him and its kind of breaking his heart.
She tracks him down at a post-graduation party and apologizes.
He needs to go to New York.
Its not his job to take care of her.
At least hes self-aware about being over-the-top.
Hes throwing Kate, and the few other winter term graduates, a mini-graduation ceremony.
Rebecca and Kevin are there, too.
Praise be the same hotel maid isnt there.
It turns out that Kevins been in Los Angeles all week lying to everyone he loves.
Thankfully, Kate can tell something is really wrong.
She leaves her own party, tracks him down at the hotel, and immediately discovers that hes relapsed.
This scene between Justin Hartley and Chrissy Metz is one of their best.
Shes going to get him to an AA meeting right now.
That is what these two do, they take care of each other, at any and every age.
There is a problem.
On the way to this meeting, Kates water breaks.
Shes only 28 weeks.
She needs to get to a hospital, but she cant drive in her current state and Kevins drunk.
Theyll have to wait for an ambulance.
When Kevin calls and tells Toby everything, the guy is rightfully pissed at his brother-in-law.
But Kates not angry, at least, not at the moment.
She has other things to worry about.
And then Randall shows up.
The boys hold their sisters hands and reassure her that everything will be all right.
And yes, sure, Im crying now.
Im not a robot!
But Im crying for two distinct reasons.
Prepare for some torture.
Her teachers think she should skip 8th grade and proceed directly to high school.
She doesnt want to give that up.
Randall cant argue with that.
Except, with Beth starting her dance teacher job, the Pearson familys schedule just got insane.
Theyve started looking into hiring someone to pick the girls up from school and help at night.
So, Im guessing that Beth and Randalls marriage isnt completely out of trouble just yet.
Dear lord, remember when there was the dancing?
It feels so long ago now.
And he is so there for Rebecca.
And I have so many Miguel-based questions.
Why does he lose touch with the Pearsons for so long?
Is Rebecca still friends with Shelly in 1998?
Will we ever see the Rivas and Pearson kids hanging out?
What does Rebecca and Miguels first date look like?
And now Im spiraling.
In 1998, Sad Kate spends her time watchingFelicityand ya girl appreciates this.
Im always here for tiny moments that show the growth in Kate and Rebeccas relationship.
So was the selfie Rebecca insisted they take.
Toby on Kevin: He looks like Chris Hemsworth had a baby with the other Hemsworth.
