Vulture first reported on the show in 2016, when Rob Thomas was attached.
That version ofThe Lost Boyswould have spanned 70 years, with each season doing a different decade pastiche.
Thomass version sounded almostAmerican Horror Story-y in the way it would blend anthology and recurring players.
But Thomas got busy withVeronica Mars,so the property was passed along to Heather Mitchell.
That script got turned into a pilot starringTeen WolfsTyler Posey.
But the CW passed on that pilot.
Mitchell serves as executive producer, along with Rob Thomas and Dan Etheridge.
Hopefully this version will see the light of day.
Or you know, not day, because that kills vampires.
