Katrina Lenk is no stranger to gender-bending Broadway.
Specifically, March 22, 2020 … composer Stephen Sondheims 90th birthday.
Lenk will be starring alongside Patti LuPone, who plays Bobbies pal, Joanne.
It feels both so exciting and like its still so far away, Lenk said.
It feels like maybe its a dream or it wont ever happen because we dont start till January.
Its nice that its out in the open, she said.
Ive been sitting on the news for a while so its nice to be able to confess.
It really stimulates all of the synapses.
Its so simple yet complex.
It keeps building and building.
Its just a little easy song, Lenk joked.
As for taking the stage alongside PattitheeLuPone, Lenk had a similar energy.
Im so excited to work with her.
Ive met her a couple of times just briefly and already I was enamored, she said.
What things am I going to learn?
What are weallgoing to learn, indeed.
