When Gwen stands up to Bob, its a courageous moment but not necessarily a triumphant one.
She wants to star in another hit.
(And who can blame her?)
And theres something else notable about Williamss rich, deep performance.
Nowadays smartly positions this weird turn of events as the central irony of GwensChicagoexperience.
His Fosse never blows his stack when Verdons challenging him.
Yet Rockwells Fosse never looks more in love with Williamss Verdon than when shes hollering at him.
