Take it back, from the same place …
He was drawn to the seedier side of the entertainment business, and fascinated by controlling impresarios.
And he repeatedly depicted libertine sexual situations bordering on the disturbing.
Fosse also liked using death as the ultimate dramatic equipment.
Thats howFosse/Verdoncouldve ended, too if not for Gwen Verdon.
No, the couple never got back together at least romantically.
Is this a happy ending?
And if youre not?

Fosse may have fictionalized his own life, butFosse/Verdon, for the most part, has not.

(Again, Bob digs this reaction.)
Over and over, his fictional and real life stories ended in death and ruin.
Fosse could be callous, and injudicious with his dalliances.
But when it mattered, he always called cut, and took everything back to one.
Perhaps Paddy was right.
(We didnt need to suffer through the making ofStar 80, goodness knows.)
She appeared in a number of movies, too, includingThe Cotton Club,Cocoon, andAlice.
