This season,90 Day Fiance: The Other Wayhas become far more grounded by finding more realistic couples.

Maybe its because there are more moms involved this season.

Three couples have their mothers traveling with them, and I absolutely love this addition to their journeys.

Its difficult to play games with moms around, and it raises the stakes for the season.

If your mom doesnt like your fiance, are you really willing to move across the world for them?

They pretty much leave as soon as they see the bad quality of the apartment.

I dont know that Ive ever thought Deavan and Jihoon were truly in love.

Last season, she mostly seemed to rely on him because she was isolated in a new country.

Im sure Jihoons parents were yelling at him too the entire time he was gone.

Its sad that Jihoon still needs his parents to tell him what to do.

He cant even look Deavan in the eyes when they talk because he knows he messed up.

Hes had enough time to prove himself, its hard to imagine things will change now.

Im also happy Ariela has her mother around.

Also, unlike Jihoon, Biniyam is disappointed in himself when Ariela isnt happy with their apartment.

He can admit his mistake.

We also meet Tims mom this episode, who will be visiting him while hes in Colombia.

I like that Tim has a good relationship with his mom.

Hes honest with her about everything thats happened and even holds himself more accountable than she does.

Tims therapy is working because he seems like a really good communicator.

I think I might be a fan of Tim now!

He seems like this seasons himbo just an incredibly sweet, emotional guy who isnt thinking everything through.

Still, we havent actually seen his dynamic with Melyza yet, so maybe he does have other motives.

Im sure his mom and her friend Carmen will help him figure it out on their trip.

As sweet as Tims mom is, I have to give Mom Of The Episode to Armandos mother.

Armandos daughter saying shes excited to have two dads was an actual Pride commercial.

I think she actually has the least to worry about.

Maybe its because Im from the Midwest, but I believe road trips are the ultimate love language.

They shouldnt have to face repercussions for being together, but Armandos father doesnt show up to say goodbye.

I wonder if it was just too hard for him to do it on TV.

I hope its that and not a sudden change of heart about Armandos sexuality.

And then theres Jenny and Sumit, who are finally free of their families (for now).

Obviously, I dont believe Sumit and I think hes hiding a bigger secret.

Why does he want to keep their lives so distant if theyre okay with everything like he said?
